2 songs don't really fit in and one of them sucks and this is still a hard 4 for me.

"a pop/black metal hybrid"

just putting those words next to each other is a fire hazard

If they went dream poppier like the first few minutes of Baby Blue and latter half of Come Back that'd be amazing. They don't need to do those Slayer-esque metal riffs though that pop up here too, plenty of other bands have that covered.

Or the melodic parts of Luna... *drool*

Actually, I'm still on board for more of whatever they wanna do. I didn't enjoy this as much as sunbather, but it's still a great album in its own right.

Hell yeah. They were great when I saw them. From the Kettle Onto the Coil fucking ruled, cross your fingers that they play it.

Worst part.

Drop Baby blue and swap From the Kettle Onto the Coil with Gifts for the Earth and this is a solid 4.5 album.

Don't get me wrong, GFTE is arguably the best song on the album, but it doesn't fit at all, not even as a closer.

It's okay... But it's so clunky and just doesn't work. They could've made it way better.
