"subtle and beautiful"
I was looking forward to hearing the new album, and this ("subtle") is just exciting me further. Marine Tigers, if we compare it to January 10th as a lead single, is certainly more subtle that previous material, and so I cannot wait to dive into the rest.

tom was a big part of why they were so good. now it's just samey garbage.
the band did change quite a bit after tom was gone such that their appeal became fairly different, and i did feel that they were better with tom, but i havent really given the bello-fronted lineup(s) a real shot yet. sounds like the new record will be a good place to start.
