Damn, I don't remember this being bumped to a 4.4. I still prefer Disco Volante by a small margin, but this is fucking amazing too

that horror movie voiceover tone when he sings that hahaha
also I think in a way Sweet Charity might be even sadder than Pink Cigarette.. bold statement I know but the fact that the speaker in Sweet Charity never realizes the irony of what he's saying is really pretty heartbreaking

"A cotton candy nightmare of Freudian invention that shakes one to the core."

I really should delve into the lyrics on this more. I mean, I love that which I have dissected, especially Pink Cigarette and Reterovertigo, but I just never feel the urge to dig into half of these. I'm still too enamoured with the instrumentals and general aesthetic to care, it seems.

Bungle's lyrics are one of their strongest assets tbh
In addition to the songs you mentioned, the opener, closer and also Robots are gaddam poetry
|
| |
Agreed, the closer especially. Make "goodbye sober day and hello Milky Way" my epitaph lol

There's something dark and eerie about the lyrics in egg, or maybe not and it's a silly song about a dilemma which to this day can't be answered.

I love Patton, but surprisingly I kinda hate this. I'll keep trying I guess.
