how is this a 3.5? There's no way that this will be scored so similarly to Hybrid Theory in one year after everyone's ratings lower. Linkin Park will never release another respectable record, plain and simple.

because this is a huge improvement over everything else LP did post-MTM, which itself is worth my 4

This is a ton better than their last 3 outings (bowel movements?). It's still extremely mediocre,

though.

I do really dig 'Keys to the Kingdom', 'All For Nothing' and to a lesser extent 'A Line in the Sand'.

Everything else sounds like it could be from their previous 3 albums, aka bland, boring radio rock

crap.

SHINODA When I listen to rock radio these days, I feel like I’m listening to a lot of stuff that sits somewhere between a car commercial and Nick Jr. — it’s so safe, and so OK to listen to with mommy and daddy. And there’s all this faceless indie stuff that’s like a mash-up between M-83 and Phoenix… Ever since that first MGMT record came out, people have been trying to do that same thing over and over again. Even MGMT was like, “Fuck that—we’re not gonna touch that shit any more!”

Fuck, yhese guys are so far up their own assholes. At first I thought of giving them credit for at least being self-conscious and aware of what sort of currency their music gets them, then they make this record and start bashing other artists. It just feels like cheap, obscene publicity. Screw these guys.

Metallica was about as far as I went, but that’s because Metallica is really a punk band who can play their instruments really well.

Yes, punk luminaries Metallica.
