Tillian era is disgusting wtf. first album with him was alright but after that each album has only had maybe one or two good songs each and i expect more from DGD

This is definitely not their best, but (clearly) I love it.
Acceptance Speech (& now AS2) is the best of the Tilian-era, but everything up to Mothership is classic, w/Artificial Selection being great & Afterburner being... okay.

the last three tracks on this are some of the most overlooked in their entire discography, ESPECIALLY Swan Soup. Drums on Purple Reign are *chefs kiss*.

Elder Goose into Heat Seeking Ghost. Damn those songs are good.
This is one the most unique and eclectic post-hardcore albums ever. It’s a weird band at their weirdest and it totally worked.

Mingus goes hard on some of the tracks on here. I realize I said something similar like 8 months ago but the drums are so overlooked in DGD, despite Mingus being in the band since the start.

I agree, he’s actually an insane drummer. His work is technical but not flashy so people don’t really notice how good he is.
