I always forget about Because It's There lol. Let's say "not memorable after Because It's There"?



I usually am very positive about music and books in general, because being negative isn't something I enjoy all that much. However, I find this album quite frustrating, because I want to like it more than I can.



But Because It's There is THE shit imo, they should do more in that vein

Oh man... "As Death Embraces" into "Pareidolia" is probably my favorite combination of songs of all time. The later is one of my favorite progressive metal songs period.

True. I'm gonna listen to new releases of course and I still enjoy Affinity and Vector. But I don't see the point commenting my lukewarm reception of all their other music, you know? The Mountain left me cold so many times and even grew off me a little, why bother anymore? I'll just let it be

Creative differences, I guess. Can only speculate, but his keyboard parts got fewer over the last few albums. Maybe he isn't as much into the guitar driven sound as the other members are

I read the announcement on their fb page and the classic ''creative difference'' was brought up. His musical ventures will continue and new material is coming so we will see what differencies we're talking about...



Virus and Vector were more on the heavy side, but Affinity was delicious keyboards-wise. His playing was among my favourite things on this band, huge loss. Interested to see who's the replacement, though.

True, how they will continue will be interesting at the very least, but I'm not exactly happy about it either. Would be a shame if Haken got even deeper into the heavy but generic prog metal/djent kind of thing. It's also not the best style of music for Ross' vocals imo, hope they'll go somewhere else with their next album

I.... actually agree with Pika for once... I didn't hate Affinity it just isn't as strong as some of their others.
