"Definitely better than anything that came after."
deadwing bro, maybe even incident which is relatively speaking crazy underrated imo

The creator has a mastertape is so underrated. Its like some noir film or something.

I really wish I understood what everybody sees in .3. It's always been one of my least favorites on here :[

I remember little to nothing about this other than Steven likes trains

now Trains... that's one hell of a classic song

.3 is probably the most beautiful song Wilson ever wrote, certainly in the top 5. Trains is also excellent, one of the biggest growers over time on here for me.

Blackest Eyes eventually became my least favorite on here, because the transitions between the heavy and soft segments are just too jarring and unnatural. PT's had that problem before, but imo Blackest Eyes is the worst example of it

Good point. I think Way Out Of Here is the biggest example of that

Blackest Eyes is a jam yeah.

When I first listened to Way Out of Here and Sleep Together, I didn't like them at all, but with time I've come to appreciate them. Both songs have incredible atmosphere.

"but with time I've come to appreciate them. Both songs have incredible atmosphere."
That's the thing though, Way Out does have a good atmosphere going until the chorus. It's a jarring transition
