I'm confused over the new vocals situation. does the album as they released it today have a different vocalist, or are they re-releasing it with one? the vocals on the album still sound like CJ and they said that the new vocalist just finished recording his parts this week.



edit: ok, so it's CJ on the physical release but the version on streaming has new vocals from the Aversions Crown guy. he sounds so similar I barely noticed.

i always thought this band seemed lame despite enjoying deathcore (a lot of australian metal has rubbed me the wrong way) but i've been jamming their discography and this record is actually insane. the vocals aren't that great but there is a "traditional death metal" to CJ's voice that works really well on this record. i think it is good that he's gone though, his live performances seemed pretty bad and in general he didn't seem to be keeping up with himself vs the rest of the band who are all extremely fit and have gotten insane at their instruments. gotta work harder to keep that stuff as you get older.
