I hate flip flopping but this actually rules.
Thoughts Like Hammers, Veilburner and Roots of the Mountain are my faves so far I reckon.
Veilburner especially has a few stunning clean segments.

Hell fucking yeah man, been jamming this and Axioma all day!
The harsh segments on both albums rule but I feel this band really excels in their cleanly sung melodic passages, that shit hits me hard.
So glad I gave em another chance!

they definitely don't sound like Opeth but I've seen the comparison made a lot because they did for bm what Opeth did for dm (ie add lots of influence from the 70s prog bands they like)
except Enslaved is actually consistent and hasn't made a bad album in well over a decade
