Also, I'm pretty sure that listening to any black metal gets 100% better when you simultaneously have http://rain.simplynoise.com/ running in the background. Turned it on and started playing I Will Lay Down My Bones. As soon as the blasts started this big rip of thunder came in and urrrrrrgh. It was pretty epic. Steady rain during a black metal song with some thunder thrown in is excellent.

Taken as a whole, this album is a disappointment, especially when theres really only about an EP's worth of actual material here. That being said, I feel that "Thuja Magus Imperium" is easily the best track in their entire discography. So utterly perfect. I look forward to an album's worth of material that strong. Hopefully their next album...

I don't think there's going to be a next album. This is the end of their planned trilogy and word is that they're moving on to other projects. I agree that Thuja is one of the highlights of their catalogue, and Astral Blood is the next best.

They said that they may do more music in the future, but that it probably wouldn't happen for a while. So... we may get another WitTR eventually, albeit most likely very different from the rest of their stuff. Which is a good thing, as they seem to have taken this band as far as it could go.
