This album is a perfect example of why I've become increasingly frustrated with metal lately. Brilliant musicians being drowned out by some asshole screaming incomprehensible gibberish over the top of them.

go listen to the new linkin park instead :]

it's actually sound advice, i mean, you gave it a 3.5 after all~

Mindless shrieking just doesn't add anything to the music for me. And when it's this prominent, it distracts from everything else. Just a minor annoyance in what would otherwise be an enjoyable album, that's all.

And yeah, I'm sick of asshole front men distracting from the music, so GNR seems like a great idea.

Ha, that's very true.

And Linkin Park is a great contract actually. The new LP is an otherwise fairly dull pop album being carried by the vocals, while this is an otherwise really interesting album being dragged down by the vocals.

Then stop listening to grindcore and listen to something with mindful, soulful screaming. Like Amia Venera Landscape :D

The irony is baffling.

Alright, I'm not trying to trash screaming here - it just doesn't do it for me. And I like everything else about this band, so I just felt the need to anonymously vent my frustration about it over the internet. You guys must not get that a lot around here.

Why is ascending on here... feels out of place and it is boring. Cutting it down to a few minutes, adding it into glances part 1 and just having that track would have been much better IMO.

Yeah, there are some questionable tracking and song choices, but it's their debut album.
