"this is still the only NiN i've heard. love it"

It is arguably the best album but I would definitely hit up "The Fragile" (my favorite). "Pretty Hate Machine: 2010 Remaster" and probably "Broken" would be a good idea if you want to see where this came from. They are more properly industrial where Trent himself said this and The Fragile are more industrial pop (not a direct quote).

i've been meaning to check out Fragile for so long. but it's a double album, isn't it? I don't usually mix well with double LPs.

i tried Pretty Hate Machine a few years back, didnt do much for me but maybe ill try it again if i'm in the mood of NiN.

This album is his most aggressive, yet it's beautiful at the same time.

Broken has more metal elements, is an excellent album Hapiness in slavery, wish, last, physical and suck rules hard. Gave up is good but compared to the rest is a little bit bland, the interludes are enjoyable too. I love the voice of Trent in Broken

I'm not a huge fan of his music, but I'll listen to many songs off of this anyday

Fixed is awesome too but not as good as Broken. I'd recommend Fixed to someone only after they decided they liked Broken. I think I've bought that damned CD 4 times and I've lost it all 4 times.

"This album is his most aggressive, yet it's beautiful at the same time. "

I guess it could be viewed as his most aggressive LP but Broken is way more aggressive imo. "Wish" alone is probably more aggressive than this entire album.

Agree to disagree, I don't think this is the best but I'm willing to say I'm probably a little biased. I had the misfortune of seeing my beloved underground industrial artist be shot into the stratosphere and suddenly every banger with a sound system was bumping NIN not to mention being played out on every radio station. That always tends to take a lot out of an album for me i.e. Nirvana Nevermind is a perfect example of this. Then the Fragile found him refining the direction he had gone in with this and didn't get nearly as much attention.
