it is, but it's easier to leave & come back to than kid a, which pretty much has you from start to finish or else you lose effectiveness on some of the tracks

Kid A has better individual moments for me, whereas Amnesiac is a more cohesive album.

Agree Amnesiac is easier to jump in and out of, and I absolutely love both, but this is the better album imo

I know 3.5 still means great but this is like an objective classic as far as anything can be considered as such

i think its rare these days for music to actually capture a broad feeling felt throughout society at a particular time in history, but this really captures that early 00s feeling of how rapidly and mysteriously the internet and technology were becoming implicit in our lives

its like the human voice trying to reach out through all the artificial commotion and just say "im still here"

I always kinda internally associated kid a and amnesiac together as a lowkey double album, due to similarity and tone. Those who rate those two as anything less than a 5 haven't listened to them enough. They're both growers

The Bends has really been growing off me lately... I think I'm even starting to like King of Limbs more than it.

The Bends helped get me into alt rock, but after you've heard a couple hundred alt/indie records it definitely wears off
