'his drumming with Them Crooked Vultures was nuts'
it was good, yeah. that album was pretty hit or miss. some pretty good songs though.
but I still think one of the better drum performances I've heard (and definitely Grohl's best imo) was Songs For The Deaf.

basically yeah
but yeah plant has always been the weak link in zeppelin for me
I love his performance on the first album but after that I just tolerate him so I can enjoy the jams

he never bothered me as a musician, he's just an arrogant self-righteous douche in real life

The fact that U2 is up their own arse has nothing to do with some great music they still managed to put out, I hate when people talk shit about them, as a kid I loved them, I still do enjoy the early stuff. Bono is overly-political yes, the other guys are not even that in your face. Bono is the way he is, in a way relates to the music they put out, he's catholic and he incorporates his question in his faith in their music. He does as the bible says ''give to the poor and God will provide you with all the riches'', he follows the steps of the messiah. A lot of shit is unnecessary sure, but people just find excuses to hate one another.
