To my naïve surprise , this album aged very well.
Bought it on vinyl at his release date, and binge it, back in the days.
Did like it but i had a lot of, humm, it feels too polished, modern.
In retrospect, i was wrong. Rush was very creative and pioneer in many ways.
I do need to re-jam it & probably bump it to classic, also.

Rush got a lot of hate (I think) during this era from old school fans
Many older age fans hate synth-era Rush from what I've seen. It has aged really well though. Contemporary fans and reviews love da synthz as much as their 70's period

I just got into Rush this year I'd hold their synth era right up there with their 'classic period'. Everything after Hold Your Fire I struggle to care outside of a few specific songs but I hope that changes one day. Terry Brown did an absolutely wonderful job on this album, does a lot in this album's favor.

I'm not even an old school fan and I initially really disliked this...and now it's one of my favourites.

^^^ Yes, thanks, totally deserve it.
Jamming it, with a bunch of spine chills.
On a Remastered 2009 japan version, well done, imo.
Oh, well, this is so freaking good, and a recomforting record.
The synth in this album merge perfectly with the rest of the instrument.
