maybe its just my laptop speakers but im getting a great deal of crackling at the beginning of the track and when the bass comes in it sounds really low quality
im talking specifically about the beginning to neon guide here but i also noticed some other particularly low quality moments last night
actually neon guide sounds like fuzzy shit when the intro is over aswell

Listening to the remaster of ice will and aside from reducing master volume, they took a lotta sharpness out of it which further smoothes out the sound but loses a bit of bite which is what I kinda love the song for. They also fixed the timing error at 1:00 which is always nice lol still gotta check neon guide

idk man i got my copy of challenger vs the new one and while i will agree that the mix makes it sound cleaner i would not say it butchers the remaster, the changes are negligible at worst in my opinion

I appreciate what they tried to do on the remaster. Some of the volume spikes are far too sharp. It’s almost like that inaccessibility is part of what added to the intensity though. That along with the disgusting low end section which they also lost a bit. It’s weird, I wonder if you put the best producer in the world on this they could get the balance right
