Yeah I remember I bought this album the week it was released and when I first heard the transition from the intro to Don't Stay it blew my mind.

That glass breaking

It still pisses me off that this album never got the Reanimation treatment. It could have been amazing if they kept the same aesthetic and musical stylings from the first Reanimation.

Figure 09 could have been a great single, even though they already had six from this album but still.

This album was my introduction to heavy music and will always have a place in my heart.

Numb is like the worst song on this tho
But the brickwalling on this is especially a problem. Like there's a few times the clipping on Don't Stay gets very bad and the bridge onward I could barely even make out the drums

Nobody's Listening would def be my least favourite on this.
Also I remember in that shitty movie SWAT when the bad guy is cruising in his black car at night and Fig 9 starts playing, epic ass shit.

And Nobody's Listening is easily the worst, the only thing that makes it solid is that great sample

The worst of this album is somewhere I belong, is the less effective track of the LP during the nu metal era
BUT THAT GUNDAM FIGURES IN THE MUSIC VIDEO THOUGH

LP is the first band I knew to have a public sympathy for an anime, the other one is fightstar with evangelion. Gotta love bands with otakus.

Doing a full discography run-through since everybody has Linkin Park on the brain at the moment. This is by far my favourite - the production is outstanding. And Mike... hating his rhymes but hating everyone else's rhymes more? Oh, Mike.
I always really liked Delson's guitar work on this album, especially on 'Don't Stay'. It really does sound completely synthetic and programmed, which I think is what he was going for and is harder to pull off than it sounds.

bump because this and hybrid theory are what should be on the front page, not one more light

^there will be tons of 'classic' reviews in the next few days for these i bet
