I wonder how he feels about The Mantle and Pale Folklore. The drums are a tad low in the mix at times on The Mantle so I can

just picture him saying "No the drums are too loud I can still hear them!" and being disappointed when the record came out haha

He's just exaggerating the fact that this is by far their poppiest and most polished album and he clearly doesn't like it because of that.
