I just realized why I didn't give this a 5. Decade of Statues and Informal Gluttony...do they drag just a bit? It sure feels like it to me.

[q]Recommended Tracks: Any track longer than 8 minutes, Any track shorter than 3 minutes[/q]

So basically all of them? :P

I recently picked up Alaska, but I'm not sure if I should go for Colors until I've digested more BTBAM and ready myself for it. But I've heard Sun of Nothing and Ants of the Sky. Epicness on the scale of a tsunami swallowing Tokyo.

agreed...i find colors much, much more enjoyable than any of their other work. It just keeps me engrossed throughout while their other albums while having tons of moments of brilliance, don't really draw me in

Yeah, this is them perfecting their sound...their other albums feel unfocused and disjointed thus leaving me feeling the same...this, however, tickles me right where i itch

This album has better writing on it. Trust me, I'm a guy who likes my heaviness, but Alaska and TSC, to me, seem like 2-sound albums, Alaska deviating slightly more and ultimately the more enjoyable of the two. But Colors is just...whoa, totally out there, you know? Non-stop epic. I've just never been album to find anything on those 2 albums that I could say outdoes what they put together in Colors.
