@seaanemone
I get what u r saying. this album is still great for any mood, but when the mood fits the album, this thing is something else, and I don't think a lot of albums do that.

i must respectfully disagree. devendorf is one of the best drummers in indie and berninger is not even close to mediocre. plus, the more you listen to any of their albums, you start to pick up little details that enhance the album and this makes every listen a new and fun experience

'they're painfully mediocre and neutral gender and rosa parks like it soo'
Haha oh well, each to his own opinion. The neutral gender thing kinda fits their whole theme of the monotony of grown up life htough

"the more you listen to any of their albums, you start to pick up little details that enhance the album and this makes every listen a new and fun experience" - Bingo. It's all about the subtle shit with The National. Love em.

The comment on picking up new stuff when you listen to The National is totally spot on. The subtle things are what make The National a great band.
