ngl glassjaw have only sounded more relevant to me with every underwhelming noise rock album that's been released since Material Control

I'm guessing you mean noise(y) rock and not "Noise rock" here, because admittedly I'm a little confused. Either way I doubt listening to post-Material Control 'rock' in any sort of comprehensive way is a good use of my time and thus, I cannot say for certain. But yeah, it's ugly out there

Confused by revisiting this one

haven't jammed Material Control in a while. from what i recall it was a tad underwhelming, def a few solid bangers tho

it was solid but yeah very unmemorable to me, felt more like lesser deftones honestly

MC is by far the slowest grower in their discog and (classic sputnik user moment) sounds absolutely nothing like deftones

OCG is a perfect avg of their sound in (mostly) a good way, but Coloring Book is kinda unique for them — goes way off on dubby midtempo slow burners, don't love as much as some but it's a cool ep whichever way you cut it and (along with MC) shows how far ahead they were from other bands of their gen vision-wise
