There’s a lot of parallels between this album and Radiohead’s “A Moon Shaped Pool” imo.

"I would argue that KID A is lyrically their weakest, almost by design"

I'd argue it has some of Thom's strongest imagery. And even at their least remarkable, Kid A's lyrics are incredibly symbiotic with the music around them. Only other LP on that level for me is OKC

Flies are buzzing 'round my head

Vultures circling the dead

Picking up every last crumb

Not my problem, give me some

Kid A's lyrics are disgustingly British. The most British thing imaginable. Not necessarily a bad thing thing, but kind of annoying.

Well wasnt the Whole idea With Kid A to almost not Write lyrics and just put random Words together? i think i remember Thom saying something about being tired of writing "emotional" songs or something like that. At least that theory goes well With some of the songs, but How To Completely Disappear was inspired from conversations he had With the vocalist from REM if i remember correctly

Anyone else stoked about Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke`s new project with Tom Skinner? The Smile. Cant wait to hear live recordings or hopefully also studio recordings

Ooh, I love that song (one of the best here and certainly underrated). Not sure if it'd crack my top 5 but def my top 20.

I reckon they have one more in them but I'd be happy if this was their last. It's an amazing album

slightly before my time (but not by much), also post-punk/gothic stuff has never struck a chord with me for some reason

I'm not opposed to listening though, they're a household name for a reason I assume

They're real deal.

Probably not the best listening for a well rounded, chipper family man like yourself cos they are miserable as fuck.

Several members have mentioned the band doing zoom calls over the pandemic with "hopes of getting back together soon" (their words), so high likelihood there's at least a #10.
