Lowering every other rating because something was just that good is a very powerful move.

The production on this bothers me, makes the whole mix sound rather homogenous. Some really good cuts in Mortal Man and U though, and a few others. Overall not bad but certainly overrated.

saying something is 'overrated' is such a cop-out. Makes you look like a snob who thinks his own taste is so much more refined than everyone else's. I'll try to keep this statement out of any discussion i hold in the future.

But this is overrated af lol

Why?

Also, only overrated in the backpack rap/music nerd sphere. The greater public/pop rap and trap fans, don't really give too much of a shit about this record from what I see.

lol Fair enough. I just love jazz and neosoul and r&b and sound art and all that shit so this record is a wet dream for me, sonicly. And the thoroughly explored theme of Afrocentrism throughout the record is a huge added plus.

some semblance of humor would have to be attached to it for it to be considered a "joke" by definition

The end of this album is kinda whatever. Mortal man has never done much for me and not a big fan of live i. All the music here is so well made tho, even on tracks I don’t care for as much
