Yes Chino isn't directly smashing your head with a bat saying this is what my lyrics mean, he just let's you interpret them the way you want. If you head over to White Pony, you can see that he commented on every song on the CD, and every song had a meaning, had a story which he explained, it wasn't some random nonsensical or generic bullshit.

Imo, the first season is solid gold. Season 2 also very enjoyable. After that, things started to go downhill fast.

Well they think they havebsomething fresh to show. They said the new one is gonna be a cross between bourne identity and american sniper which on paper sounds great. And yeah they did go downhill though I still enjoy them somewhat mainly because I like the characters.
