can't do that my brotha. Planet Telex, Fake Plastic Trees, The Bends, Just - too many classics here.

I like TKOL but what kills it for me is Morning Mr. Magpie. Sounds like a Radiohead parody.
|
| |
got about 4 classics max, a few oks and a generous sum of stinkers (bones/sulk/black star ewww). mr magpie is most defs the worst on tkol though, fair reasoning

lol love black star. I like bones in the context of the album but at the same time, that chorus is pretty silly lol

Yeah Morning Mr. Magpie is a bit of a stinker.

Black Star rules, love the way the lyrics talk about the monotony of everyday life.
|

agreed on both = blackstar amazing (could be my favorite track from THE BENDS, honestly) and morning mr. magpie the weakest link on THE KING OF LIMBS.

Feral too. Bloom isn't that great either, but it's one of their best songs on the LftB version. Black Star is really good yea

actually dig magpie a fair bit little by little is the weak link for me bc yorke sounds like ass on the falling chromatic chorus. tkol absolutely towards the top of my ranking tho overall very consistent album and separator maybe my favorite radiohead song

Feral is amazing
The percussion on it is Radiohead's best

It's all better on Live from the Basement version, that gives this a run for its money.
|
| |
if i have to read you bitching about the live from the basement version of tkol one more time i swear to god i'm going to blow up an old folks home
|
| |
absolutely no Feral slander in this thread please and thank you
"love the way the lyrics talk about the monotony of everyday life."
this is literally every Radiohead song
|
| |
Feral and Magpie both fuck but leave it to sput rubes to ignore the obvious being that, like always, the shitty piano ballad is the worst song

I didn't realise how much I dug Feral until I was on an intl flight with a dead iPod and found myself craving it. The glaring absence of that percussion in my eardrums made the flight feel thrice as long

Codex was the first song on TKOL I loved, but now I don't care for it. Like a piece of delicious gum that loses its flavour in 30 seconds

always liked Morning Mr. Magpie tbh

“feral,” “morning mr magpie,” “little by little”—all absolutely bottom tier Radiohead. not playing to their strengths at all
