Because sometimes I do like it, that's a good enough reason for me to listen to a genre. And even then, sometimes I just want to listen to something, even if I don't like it.

Alright, it doesn't HAVE to be short songs, but if hip hop artists want to make songs longer than what I said, it'd be a good idea to make the music more interesting.

Not exactly my favorite genre but limiting hip-hop tracks to two minutes would leave nothing for musical and lyrical development of any kind. Crap opinion all around.

Please read my previous comment. And you're wrong, you can develop musical ideas quite well in two minutes (or less), hell, most hip hop developes most of its ideas in that ammount of time, the rest is used for "lyrical development", and I guess I have to say it again, I don't care about lyrics.

If it's doing something musically interesting that can/should be developed in more than 2 minutes, I have no problem. A piece can be 30 seconds, 3 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, it doesn't matter, as long as it's doing something interesting.
