Is this progressive death metal? I mean, it's not, so I guess I'm asking why? It's just pretty heavy, dense, sludgy guitars, Pete's double bass love and some admittedly adventurous leads.

I need to jam this band more to see where I stand. I mean, I'm not the biggest dm fanboy on the site by any means, in fact I only jam dm now and again tbh; but this band is considered one of the essentials in the subgenre.

im big on fast, thrashy and heavy death metal with killer riffs and leadz ov trvth...so to speak
so MA are right up my alley. i love death loads but sometimes they get a bit too prog
