Venin coming to the light. It will be a 1 soon enough.

2.5 is probably the floor to me, there's a lot of "objectively" good parts here. II's drumming is worth a full point on its own and I like the heavier parts enough to be able to slog through the muck to get there. i'll still take this over new puddle of mudd

I just wish the transitions to the uber heavy parts didn't feel so forced. Caramel and Infinite Baths were literally jarring for me. Also, yeah, II's drumming has consistently been the best aspect of ST

This is def worse than Eden for me. Is that a consensus?

Album Rating: 4.5
The vast majority of people think Eden was better (I seem to be an outlier in that regard).

I got the consensus that this is just largely boring and very safe
Enjoy tho Vlexis

Slightly less good than TMBTE but easily their second best overall.

I would rank them as follows: Eden, This Place, Even in Arcadia, Sundowning. Been a fan since they started.

Put Sundowning before This Place, and that's basically my ranking

I definitely see this as an improvement to Eden, far less grating and obnoxious, more cohesive. I still can't get past many of the vocals but they're better here. Some good moments overall, really just a lot of this is super boring
