GR is a little uneven for me too, yet I do remember the days where it was in the elite tier, so I get it. One day I will listen to this again. I haven't heard an Opeth album for months.

I've said this on here before, but Mikael did an interview last year when this was coming out and they realized that the "non-growling era" of Opeth was longer than the before era.

Let's to be clear, none of their albums sucks. Personally, my least favourites since Watershed are Heritage and Sorceress. But both are still two great albums in my book.

Growling era would be from 1994-2008. 2008 is when watershed was released. In cauda was 2019 which is the last to feature only clean vocals. If we count the last will and testament even though it has growls then it would be roughly equal
