This absolutely clears Clairvoyant and maybe even R/D.

This is better than Clairvoyant but Milo is also right because that does have better drumming

After at least 50 listens, I think my favourite moment on the album is the bongos verse on No Gospel

I agree Johnny that the tracks work better on an individual basis than in the context of the album. Not that the album doesn’t flow well, just that the sound is a bit of a tough sell for me and the length just adds to that feeling. Palm reader is definitely the highlight for me and I’m getting the praise. One dimensionality were definitely the issues with artificial bouquet and gris Klein for me and this definitely circumvents that. I’d bump my rating but getting through this is so tough for me I can’t really justify it. Interesting to hear your go to for listening to music. I’ve been listening to the same maybe 200 songs on shuffle for the past decade ish. Some songs get added and removed so it evolves a little over time. But yeah idk maybe it’s why I’m so selective. Just listening to my favorite deep cuts over and over again lol

yeah, the relative variety here bestows this with an edge, whereas those two (as examples) suffered more for their homogeneity (memory is pehaps hazy re Gris Klein tho)
