^ every time I’ve done that, the albums have become fused to my very being. Only one time has it made me absolutely hate an album (Human Abstract - Digital Veil), though it was also my first time listening and likely would’ve trashed it regardless

I actually think Marcus is great on this, it just gets so stale. Like it’s such a one-trick type record. But I can’t deny it’s catchy

oh shit another traveller! the three albums ive done this with first listen were this, erras self titled, and alexisonfires otherness and all three were honestly some of the greatest musical experiences ive ever had, esp the erra drop. honestly one of the biggest reasons why i cherish and champion that album so much lol even just thinking about that album makes me feel everything. shit changed me

@onion
That’s awesome! I’m glad you had such good experiences! For me, some of the most special ones were Thursday’s A City by the Light Divided, Nirvana’s Nevermind, Palm Reader’s Sleepless, Iglooghost’s Neo Wax Bloom, and Sangre de Muerdago’s Xuntas and those experiences are things i still think about sometimes and they meant so much to me that i don’t even want to leave any out right now.
I don’t blame you one bit for your Erra love, especially when you have such a powerful experience with it and it’s a band you already love

and yea lol it was such a beautiful day. they became my favorite band on my third acid drop when i was jamming impulse and augment all day chilling w my pals in my backyard and each single just coincidentally timed w all my subsequent trips so it almost felt like the entities were guiding me to such an experience lol. when it came out i was brought to tears of joy from what i heard lmao

My first full listen of this was while on a train watching the rain outside. It was a vibe. This rules.

That’s sick! It’s like it all just clicks and when that perfect timing hits, words just can’t do it justice
