Yeah to me it wasn't that surprising ever, but these last few albums have just been so goddamn perfect.
And yeah, at least for me this one is a total grower. First time I was underwhelmed tbh but after a bagazillion spins, I like this as much as their previous album.

Also is it just me, or are the drums mixed really weird on this record? The bass drum and especially snare are very loud, where the cymbals are almost nonexistant. Not sure if they were going for a more tribal percussive sound or what, but it's kind of distracting to me.
