"Of course he did a terrible job and was extremely off key. I think album may have been better with a singer more like Chris Cornell."

Predictable to say this may be, but 'Dirt' is one of the finest metal albums of the 90's, not merely within the grunge genre. It opens menacingly enough with the short but hard-edged 'Them Bones', and closes with finely-tuned yet mysterious 'Would?', making for a grandiose finish. Some may become weary and tired with the longer songs midway through the album, but its persistence to maintain the level of heaviness and sound quality is brilliant. I feel produ to share my birthday with a singer as varied and different as Staley.

dude if somehow We Die Young and Bleed the Freak were on this album instead of maybe like Hate To Feel and Sickman (not that they're bad).........this would be the greatest album of all time
