Where’s your AOTY list Dungeon? This is up there for me, as is BI, neither will likely crack top 10 though. Fen was a disappointment. Conjurer/Pijn was ok, wanted it more like Conjurer’s EP. I don’t get Abigail.

ha yeah, it's a weird mix of stuff on mine. I didn't expect to like Fen, but it's interesting to like the 1 album of theirs that few other people on this site do apparently. AW really stuck with me more and more the more i listened to it. I haven't really liked anything else they've done at all, so that was also a pretty wild surprise. I really like old Baroness, so obviously I really like that Pijn Conjurer mashup. what were yours? There was a ton of other stuff I really dug, lots of old school black metal sounding stuff, some other dungeon synth here and there. I checked out an album yesterday by Kvelgyest that is pretty much blowing my mind right now:

Mine will be revealed in due course, just putting the finishing touches to my rankings (hopefully), I keep thinking about adding things, or finding new stuff to check out. It will be in the next couple of weeks though, because otherwise it’s kind of pointless, right?
I really like the Malfet releases, however my knowledge of dungeon synth is essentially zero but I did actually check Guild of Lore as well (wasn’t as enamoured with that one, I remember it being decent enough though).

ah yeah, Malfet was excellent as well, really could have swapped that with GoL but I really liked the sound effects GoL uses to paint each scene, really drew me into the world.
Can't wait to see your list!

Similarly gross weather here in NYC. Will jam the Rauros.

Given this so many listens and all I can say is that... it's nice but doesn't have the charm and balance their previous effort had.

IMO nothing can top Arrow and Kiln, but I think this flows better.
