I was blown away on my first listen. Had to take a breather after "City Song" alone. Incredible record.

Yeah the genre classification is all over the place, it’s kind of amusing how loved this is when hardly anyone seems to know what they’re actually listening to. Maybe that’s part of the appeal? Idk.

That’s the whole appeal for me. This album is def more noise rock/experimental than metal. This doesn’t even really come close to sounding like a metal album tbh. The heaviness has way more to do with the wall of noise clouded over it lol.

im probably severely diminishing my possible appreciation ceiling for this album by only jamming guest house for hours on end and i dont even care

If you meant me talking about dm I made it obvious that it was just a vibe this is nothing like that ofc

"Daughters was a good portion of my 7th grade soundtrack"

hard. hope you're doing well combustion, remember seeing you all the time around here back in the day on my main

"Also idk what those people up there are talking about dm for. This isn’t even a metal album let alone dm lmao."

I wasn't calling this DM bruh, someone up above me said 2018 Metal was having a drought. just pointing out DM had a crazy year so far, unrelated to this entirely

first impressions so far... this is actually really good. Not sure what I’m listening to, I don’t care honestly, all I care about is that it’s solid and enjoyable

that’s a good analogy there, the first song actually made me paranoid with all of the background drum noises and what not. The atmosphere is intense

Glad you dig it Tyman. The percussion in City Song really is fucking menacing.
