Assuming that's right, about fucking time. Hell of a wait, hope they deliver the goods with the new guitarist.

Part hype part fear. I mean they've only let me down one time ever (self titled) but when you wait this long for something you can't help but have some substantial expectations.

They're working with the same producer who did the self-titled record too, so hopefully that's not a sign of what's to come

I love the production in the S/T. The poppier approach to the singing grew on me around 5 years after its release. I quite like that album now and it has some damn good bangers on it, but I get that they'll probably never pursue that direction again.

and XingKing they've alluded to there being "a lot of cooks in the kitchen" on the S/T which I read as label interference rather than the producer who's just some young guy who makes guitars and vocals sound great

New single leaked, oh boy here we go.

Alright, so it is VERY much in line with the ST release, production-wise. Good song, solid main riff, cool leads during the chorus, decent solo, but it feels like it needs a little something else. Everything is good but also pretty standard, lacks the ferocity of this release and feels just a bit shallow.

I'm inclined to be overly critical at this point, though. These guys were THE band for me, and Deliver Us was THE album. Unfairly or not, them doing anything less than blowing me away is gonna leave me with mixed feelings.

Liking it more than most stuff on here. Great riffs, great production, John sounds better than ever and that SOLO oh my goodness. Hyped for the new alb!

Yes it rules ass. Listened to it this afternoon using VPN set to New Zealand. But I’m not trying to brag or flex or anything 🤭

It’s got a very memorable melody that gets stuck in your head. Song wise, not production wise, it gives me The Human Romance vibes.
