i agree. this is the main problem with cave, he's just too damn theatrical. i love his music but it never moves me in ways that the raw sincerity of dylan or hammill does

last three songs were a bit of a snore, but overall solid album. The ambience of 'Jesus Alone' is harrowing. Up there for song of the year for me.

Distant Sky brings the feels too much to be boring. However, if the performance by both Nick and the girl weren't on point, it would have been an uninteresting song.
But it ends up being one of the best songs on the album oops.
