the reason why a lot of you don't think this is the best is because it has a very archetypal black metal sound which you might think makes it sound 'generic' or not as interesting but you need to consider the fact that this record did that sound first and even today still does it the best. this is the coldest. this is the bleakest.

i just find the production grating as hell, the guitars are a visceral assault on the eardrums and not in a good way. i like a good bass presence|



like i get rawness, i get atmosphere but they took it a bit too far with this imo. not that it doesnt have its merits

If I listen to Nattens with headphones I turn the treble all the way down in my player. Then you can listen to it much louder.
