It has some tasty jams but I think this went for more atmosphere than riffs. Shooting Star is probably one of my favorite tracks by them now and it's not really a heavy song which is my favorite part of this band so I'd say it's definitely worth checking out.

I actually appreciate atmosphere just as much as riffs, but I'm just not digging this as much. 3.5 might be generous on my part tbh but this shit was WAY better live than on the album so I dunno

I need to give this another listen, it's been awhile.
I remember liking a lot of the songs but finding it lackluster overall

I can understand fans of the old Gojira not really digging the last album though.

This is probably tied with WOAF for their best. While I really enjoyed this album, I'm still waiting for this band to do something truly amazing.

Tied as their best? Huh, I think it's clearly their worst. Way of all Flesh is a respectable favorite, though. From Mars to Sirius also destroys this, dude.

I think WOAF has the best standouts, but this has the least amount of filler. For me, From Mars... was good, but never really grabbed me aside from a couple of tracks, like most of their material.

Flying Whales makes that album a 15/5

Love that song, but it doesn't make up for the excessive amount of filler on that album.

Aw, agree to disagree - I love all the songs on that album

They're fucking fantastic live, I just saw them this past fall for the 5th time ahaha, going to see them for a 6th time with Opeth in May

Backbone too. From Mars To Sirius grabbed me by balls immediately. And then thrusted me into the rest of their stuff.
This album is still pretty sweet though. I think it was a nice one off with a calmer demeanor but the next album they make will probably rape face.

Shame Opeth aren't coming over here with them but still excited nonetheless.

Who else is with them?
