they spent a year making this album, that involves a fair amount of effort

While I loved their earlier albums, this one seemed like a big disappointment to me. They could have done so much, but in the end they did so little with this offering.

Cite, you just got pwned in the face by Bron. You must've left sputnik to go find your ego.

I'm sorry this is so late, but I need to make an example out of this before any schmuck comes in thinking they can argue the same.
You have to understand major labels, RHCP is signed under a major label (Warner Bros.)
Anyone who claims they understand major labels and you don't is automatically dismissed in my mind as full of shit. Just look at that statement. He's immediately asserting that he's smarter than you by taking that haughty attitude.
What is the major record labels goal??? TO MAKE MONEY....not to release great music. If you want great music start by looking in the INDIE section.
Fuck you with a knife. This kind of blanket statement is made only by elitists whose fragile egos are attached to the belief that they are privy to a cosmic wisdom that eludes the majority of other people.
The exact same principle is applied not only to elitists, but also to conspiracy theorists, and we all know what those people are like.
This asshole's assertion that a band signed to a major label cannot make good music betrays his elitism and complete lack of real intelligence.
Warner Bros basically controls RHCP, all RHCP needs to do is to make a Hit single and release it on a snazzy double album (the album is a snoozefest, if you dont already know) Following that pattern makes the MOST MONEY for the LEAST EFFORT. MAYBE RHCP was great before, but this album is truly a sell-out.
Take note class. 99 times out of 100, anyone using the term "sell-out" has no clue what the hell it means.
I asked like 50 people if they heard of RHCP,
I will bet any of you 50 bucks that this is a lie.
C'mon guys, the puzzle solves itself...
Yes it has. I know what I'm talking about, people like this guy don't. I'm smart, they're not. I'm unbiased, they're not. I'm a big hit with the ladies, they... well you get the picture.
Class dismissed. This Message Edited On 10.12.06

coming back fro this album after 2 months of not listening to it, i think this album is astounding
|

I bought this album quite a while ago and I still haven't finished it... there's some songs that are a bit dissappointing. Somehow I still like the cliche single everyone likes... :p

Jupiter is great....

I hate "tell me baby" but "Wet sand" is the greatest.
I think I've developed a somewhat love/ hate relationship with this album.

Tell me baby is awesome.^^^ Tourture me should be a single.
|
| |
yep, the whole album is good. I can't think of any songs I'd give less than a 3/5.
|
| |
^"Tell me baby"!!!
|
| |
I think "Death of a martian" is good enough to be a single along with "wet sand"
|
| |
wet sand isn't poppy enough, though it is the best song on the album. If they release Torture Me and Make You Feel Better, they're gonna get a lot of radio play.
By the way, Tell Me Baby is awesome.
|
| |
^"Torture me" is a great idea for a single and I think "make you feel better" will do really well, but I think they are lacking a real rocker as a single"Dani California" was great but I still think "Wet sand" would be better.

I agree with Patrick on this one, Tell Me Baby Owns.
I decided to give this a listen a while ago and I noticed it doesn't suck. So, I changed my rating.

"Tell me baby" is terrible every time I hear it on the radio or tv I just turn it off. "Wet sand" is increadible, I also love "Charlie"
