yeah black metal was a huge grower for me as well. never really understood the appeal of this album or the genre but one day it just clicked and now it's one of my favorites

I think you need to accept that some of this needs to be 'in the background' otherwise it's just too darn loud. Really dig this now I can get the balance right. Maybe I'm just not used to BM but their other record sounded much more paletteable initially.
