Yeah you're not wrong GuyMan. I want to blame some bad live mixing too, but then The Contortionist played right after and it was a lot better.

I want to see Fallujah headline, because their sound demands a good mix and atmosphere.

All I know is I was damn near in the pit (which hasn't happened since I was 20) when they opened with "Cerebral Hybridization".

they sounded like shit when i saw them live in LA for their TFP headliner which was unfortunate because they put on a good show

kinda funny now that i think about it because TFP is also a good show that sounds like shit

Yeah when I saw them the first time they were promoting TFP too. Them and Rings of Saturn had such bad live mixing and I felt bad for em. But the second time around it was bad too. They do need to headline.

Hoping it's just the bland-ish simplistic single.

That being said, nothing wrong with them mellowing out even more. But I'd rather see them mellow out like Tesseract did with Polaris, and not just turn into simple radio-rock.

It was fine, also the shortest song on the album so I doubt its representable of the whole thing. Also ditching the metal is the best move for this band, and they should've done it after the debut tbh.

song is so good, I can't wait to hear it in the context of the whole album.

tbh, the only way they were ever gonna match or top Exoplanet was to deliver an equally mind-bending album but in a different style. and they actually achieved that against all odds, which is beyond remarkable really... also they're one of the best live acts I've ever had the privilege to witness. you haven't really heard Language till you've heard it live. it's transcendental.

New song is getting shat on over at their Facebook, I fucking love it, exactly what I wanted them to sound like after Language.

Looking at the tracklist there's a song almost 10 mins long so I doubt they're leaving the prog behind.
