Well this is amazing album for sure however the minimalistic approach of UP is quiet unique and organic and thats what i cant find here ...this is definitely more easier listen overall a bit darker/depressing so it does have immediate effect for most of the listeners,but still UP is prob more engaging

i actually thought this was less immediate at first. i can definitely understand why one would think that UP is more engaging. the emotion on UP just bleeds through the record. i certainly find it to be strikingly more human and as a result, more visceral than this one. closer being a more calculated and disaffected record, but i simply find this to be much more consistent - considering there are actual songs on UP that i don't actually like (she lost control...), and none on here.
