easily the best nu-metal, definetly the most genuine, raw, and angry. not huge into korn at all after this album tbh, tho LIP is pretty good too

i just think they restarted their sound in 2013 when head re-joined, kinda like another debut. they refined that sound on suffering then perfected it with nothing
but i might be the one dude who thinks that and thats fine
|
| |
to me it sounds like paradigm shift was a new sound for them whereas suffering was an attempt to return to their early-middle period in sound, fairly successfully

yeah, suffering is definitely a nod to the older stuff, and for that reason i like it less because songs start to blend together and the riffs get kinda same-y
i'm just hoping they keep pushing their songs in new directions on their next album instead of looking to the past. doesn't always work that well (i.e. remember who you are)

I’m with u salesman I think The Nothing is the best they’ve sounded in years, although I haven’t listened to Suffering yet
