Ultraviolet is turning to be an all time fave song of mine. And the rest of the tracks are up to par, if not better. I think I enjoy the second half of the album a little more

Rebirth is my favorite on here, with Hybrid Earth, Prometheus, and Dementia not too far behind. I love every track on here tho, I miss this lineup

Word, the last half really is amazing. Rebirth is prob my second fave, then Dementia. Too bad they changed things up, this is definitely a winning lineup imo.

Check Impulse next, it's the album before this. After this album, Garrison (the harsh vocalist) and Alan (other guitarist that did the more melodic writing like Rebirth and Prometheus and shit) left, and they nosedived in quality. The Moments In Clarity EP after this is still pretty good tho, but the vocalist they got for that EP left right after it, and the new guy is fucking trash. Drift is the most average album

What are the best tracks on this? I've been trying to connect with this album but it's hard mostly because I can't stand Jesse's clean vocals on this, especially on opener Alpha Seed. That song has some bad songwriting! I'm actually sick of Jesse's cleans at this point

Jesse's cleans are an integral part of why I came to love Erra in the first place. I think his cleans on Impulse and the 2 EPs are what got me into the band, really. I just think the cleans kinda suck on this album for the most part but I plan on giving this another shot soon.

I mean it's weird hearing 3 choruses but it's not a crime. Plus the last one has some variance to it

I think it is a crime when it ruins the song. The repetition actually makes me hate the chorus, when otherwise I would have liked it. It seems like a blatant songwriting misstep, there's no reason for the third chorus to be there. That's one reason I like Impulse so much better than this album; On a song like White Noise they only do the chorus 1.5 times and it's just huge.
