surprised its took people a few listens, AE is exactly the kind of album I've been wanting Danny to make for ages and its finally here.

however i do feel like this is danny's weakest moment BARS-wise. i was a bit disappointed by his rapping here

For the kind of presentation and thematic on AE, I think Danny can get away with the weaker word play when its the performance and general idea of what hes talking about that is supposed to present the record as a whole. Also its still way better than Side B so its w/e.

I think the rapping and lyrics on AE are better than Old and on par with this most of the time, not always, but yeah that's by design

Danny still has bars all over AE but nowhere near as much super memorable lines compared to XXX (not including hooks). There's no "Stank pussy smellin like cool ranch doritos" or "TROPICAL FRUIT SKITTLES" on AE.



Some of my fave lines from AE are Earl's "I'm at your house, get your couch off my chucks" and Danny's macerana line obv.

thats whats keeping me interested here, but when it comes to rap im huge on the lyrics and wordplay, and for dannys standards i was let down here. he can do better

I thought the first half of the new season was absolute trash tbh but I'm glad I stuck with it cos the post-twist half redeemed it hard

kinda disagreed actually, i think pre-twist was a lot better
