yeah agreed. they have a completely different (and i think equally rewarding) approach to producing for rap.

" and ethy remember how you didn't like main attrakionz until somebody was like "hey you're being
dumb"? well these guys are MAz producers and hey you're being dumb!"

lol, i wish man : / thanks for the support i just DON'T GET IT

main attrakionz i didn't really enjoy because i wasn't giving it enough of an honest chance, this is
just plain boring for me 85% of the time of every song - i fall asleep/want to jam something else.
i've tried listening to it like eight different times and could only get like five songs in seven
times, made it all the way through both disks once

it's got some cool transitions here and there (i really enjoy certain parts of songs) but for like
the most part it just doesn't entertain me at all, lots of cool sounds but not a lot of musicianship
behind it - i guess it's just not progressive enough for me. i hate how i can skip like two minutes
in the song and just hear almost the exact same beat that i was introduced with within the first
thirty seconds with maybe like a few extra synths/drum loops/various whatever the hell these dudes
are doing

i enjoy TASWELL (when i first heard it i thought this was gonna be really great), ALL MY LIFE+, LUV
U MORE THAN ANYTHING, 8AM, TRUTH, and CUSTOMER I + II.

that's pretty much it. every other track i would try to actively not listen to if someone wanted to
jam this with me, sadly

main attrakionz appealed so hard to me cause it's musicianship is absolutely incredible, production
is easily one of the best i've ever heard in any rap album, tons of fun, and holds so much fucking
SWAG that it's almost impossible to put off as a poor album - like just listen to the FIRST song on
that bitch, there's more progression on that beat than any song on DX for me, and where are you
gonna get those sick and smooooothhh transitions like the bridge on mondre mo murda here????

808s and Grapes II just has too much soul, this feels sterile
plus it's funny as hell at times, YOU DA CHOSEN ONE MY NIGGA ROLL ANOTHER BLUNT TO THAT MY NIGGA

maybe it's the lack of vocals? which would be odd cause that's usually the first turnoff for
people who check 808s but nah... there's really just a lot missing on DX for me, it doesn't sit well
don't understand why so many people are enjoying it but it's cool lol
