Agreed with Willie. Doesn't matter how massive they were, or how far they've fallen. I'm not going to grade this compared to what they used to be.

I've been a fan since as far back as I can remember. I grew up on Queensryche. They are probably one of the few bands I could be accused of being a fanboy for, but I've also given multiple albums from them a 1 because they deserve it.

Even if you like this, I cant see how it can be better than ANY of their albums up to Promised Land.

I thought this was Dedicated To Chaos and was really about to question Trey's credibility if he gave that a 4.5/5.

The production on Warning is really rough, so the songs are diminished somewhat. This record has its own production issues, but I find them more tolerable, and I just chalk it up as another victim in the loudness war.

Technical horse shit aside, it simply comes down to the fact that The Warning does less for me as far as interest and emotional impact. Period. IMO, neither album compare to their greatest works though, let's be clear on that.

Let's also get another thing clear: Take Hold of the Flame is a sick tune, and is definitely definitive, classic Ryche. Nothing on this touches that tune, but still, I would rather listen to a live version of that track, as the studio version has terrible production.

Dedicated to Chaos is pretty unbearable. Massive failure on all levels. Queensryche Cabaret was also pretty cringe-worthy. Did Tate have his daughter up on stage with him in her panties? That's deplorable, if so.

Production on Warning is pretty rough, agreed. But the songs themselves kick balls even today.

This is more Queensryche than Operation: Mindcrime II, Dedicated to Chaos or Frequency Unknown.

'Queen Of The Reich' is definitely better than anything on this album, but as a whole, this is better. It's more diverse with more varied songwriting and it's just good.

None of the songs on Warning can hold my interest for very long. In my opinion, the best Queensryche album is Rage for Order.

Side B of The Warning is just as good as anything they've ever done, seriously.

Mindcrime II, especially the second half, smashes this. Dedicated To Chaos is awful, I prefer this as well. Frequency Unknown isn't Queensryche.

Titan - What are some tracks you like on OMC2? The stuff I recall from it was downright embarrassing.

I'm going to spin a few of these tracks and get back to you...I went to the OMC2 show and ended up going home afterwards and trying to drink myself into oblivion to kill the memory of the show as fast as possible.
