Awe, that's kind of cute actually.
They had quite a bit of offspring.
|
| |
Yeah, and it kinda sucks that they never got as big as any of the band's ripping them off. :[
Then again those vocals are an acquired taste.

I just listened to them for the first time today and loved the vocals, as well as just about everything about this particular album. I can definitely see why they would be off-putting to some, though.

It's a step too far ahead of it's time methinks. The vocal oddness combined with the instrumental spasticness was probably too much for people to parse at the time. However now that the instrumental aspect has been ripped off by everyone to the point of being commonplace, the vocals are easier to digest too.

Enjoy. Three more great releases ahead of you.

Not sure I like this, it's not quite at 'Colors' levels of irritating in the sense that it actually feels somewhat cohesive despite it's seemingly haphazard approach, but I don't really 'get' the vox. There's a couple of half decent grooves I guess, will have to try again.

I bounce back and forth on it being best.
Wish they were on a heavier hitter than Bieler Bros for DOADD, they might have gotten their due if so.

A classic album no question

I get tired

Bieler Bros was the only distribution label who wanted them because Jason Bieler was a damn visionary. He also signed Karnivool during that period.
