as someone who studied theory alongside guitar from a jazz musician and fusion songwriter, has scored multiple hours' of film in different genres (including on commission), and has self-taught songwriting across however many albums for over a decade, there is absolutely no way in hell I'd style myself as a composer, let alone charge people to learn from me
